This blog is dedicated to the love of all things reptilian (and a few exceptions). It’s a place to expand your knowledge, ask questions, submit pictures and express your love as we are doing with this blog.

As you can see (if you scroll down) this blog is filled with pictures of amphibians (frogs, salamanders, toads, etc), reptiles (lizards, turtles, snakes, tortoises, etc) with a few mentions of crocodilians and arachnids (scorpions, tarantulas, etc).
We’re very sorry if you have a fear of snakes or tarantulas (as I’ve gotten a few msgs explaining these concerns) but if it drives a fear that much, this place may not be the one for you.

Recently Discovered Species of the Mekong River Delta

A psychedelic gecko (Cnemaspis psychedelica), from one of 92 islands in the Rach Gia Bay, southern Vietnam. Scientists are pondering why this species of diurnal lizard found in rocky, forested terrain has such unique colouration. Until more field studies are completed, we can only speculate. Sexual selection is ruled out because males and females are similar in appearance. It is not camouflage because the lizards are very conspicuous. Perhaps it is aposematism, appearing distasteful to predators…
