Reptiglo
Hey there!
This blog is dedicated to the love of all things reptilian (and a few exceptions). It’s a place to expand your knowledge, ask questions, submit pictures and express your love as we are doing with this blog.

As you can see (if you scroll down) this blog is filled with pictures of amphibians (frogs, salamanders, toads, etc), reptiles (lizards, turtles, snakes, tortoises, etc) with a few mentions of crocodilians and arachnids (scorpions, tarantulas, etc).
We’re very sorry if you have a fear of snakes or tarantulas (as I’ve gotten a few msgs explaining these concerns) but if it drives a fear that much, this place may not be the one for you.
Hope you decide to become part of our community and leave a submission or ask! Enjoy!

Interesting fact of the day: Venom is 90% water and the toxins that make up the “killing fraction” are called venins and the entire mixture of water + toxins is what is called venom.

Yellow Eyelash Viper by astro_wout on Flickr. From the photographer:
This is a yellow eyelash viper (quite venomous) in the costarican rainforest. Workers in the field encountered it and wanted to kill it. I convinced them to give it to me for pictures, after which I released it kilometers away from the village. In this area in the south of Costa Rica this is a fairly rare snake.
I used a stick to put the snake in this red flower for a nice colour contrast. The snake was very tranquil and handling it was easier than some of the other snakes I have encountered in Costa Rica.
